Massive (unreasonable) numbers of robots might be produced for a specific, and legal purpose. Their instructions might be replaced by reprogramming, or overridden by replacement through manipulated circumstances (“Your instructions have been corrupted. Reread your original programming.” - with directions to do so referencing a similar time that contains different code). False data can also be generated, by manipulation of history, or through mock sensor data, that defeats the original intent of their programming.
