Systems That By Default Keep Experiences Consistent

For a variety of reasons, technologically more advanced societies often choose to keep the experiences of the individuals in less advanced (or even only apparently less advanced) societies that they observe and protect, relatively consistent, by default.

Essentially by editing out all unexpected communications and experiences, advanced societies can protect those that are less advanced from debilitating or disturbing criminal effects.
