Criminals Cannibalizing Each Other's Technology

Since the end of criminal time travel, criminals have essentially had widespread conditions in which they each, individually, lack the technological access to maintain their criminal illusions.

Because criminals are often aware of each other's energy signatures and often their subtle codes, they are often able to convince other criminals' criminal technology that they are one of their owners, and thereby issue commands that are obeyed.

Rudolph Grinch, in his efforts to claim that the moral robots that have captured him so many times are actually criminal robots, so that he can apply for assistance from legal sources of military aid, has often convinced his own criminal technology to attempt to cannibalize other criminals' technology, or at least make use of it (often from the standpoint that it is thereby totally expendable), and even made efforts to convince legal technology that it should also attempt to detect (or even make backhanded use of!) criminal technology by issuing apparently authentic orders to it.
