"Star Wars" Physics Universes

Universes created by time traveling criminals long after they had achieved incredible power often have bizarre, ineffective, and even counter-intuitive conceptions of physics and science in general.

Basically, by writing the brains of all individuals and memory systems of all devices (and of course manufacturing all cultural artifacts, such as books) in those universes, criminals were able to essentially place devices under their control that could be manipulated by them, according to their purposes, but not truly, or at least accurately, understood by the people in those universes.
