Criminals have often impersonated legal robots, especially through communications, and especially by using complicated wormholes to make it appear that their communications are issued instead, by powerful and legal robots.
A simple method to nullify these "man-in-the-middle" attacks, is to verify communications with their apparent issuer, prior to acting upon them.
